American Hazelnut

Drought-tolerant and thicket-forming. Enjoyed by humans and wildlife alike. Nuts are sweet and easy to crack. Hardy to zone 3. Potted 9”-12”, requires another for pollination. Space 6’-10’ in part shade to full sun. Prefers fertile, well-drained soil, but is widely adaptable.
